About the artist

Brenda Fogle

My name is Brenda Fogle. After marrying my husband Fenton, I have been a resident of Scott County since 1981. We have two child and four grandchildren. I recently retired after working 27 years at the Scott County Circuit Clerks Office. I hope to spend more time traveling and taking pictures.

I became interested in photography and purchased by first SLR camera around 1979. I had put it on layaway at the Lexington K-Mart until I could pay it off. I share this tidbit of information to inspire you to always find a way to make your dreams happen. Over the years, I took photography classes in order to learn more about my equipment and to improve my talents.

People started asking me to take pictures at weddings, graduations and other events. These events gave me a lot of experience behind the camera. Besides event photography, I also enjoy scenic photography as well as flora and fauna photography.

"Among Us" Library Staff & Friends of SCPL Art Show

The Art Gallery located inside the Scott County Public Library is a unique space that provides opportunities to enhance the community’s appreciation of the arts. Curated exhibits featured in the Gallery are family-friendly, easily accessible, open to the public during regular library hours and are free of charge.

The Gallery Curator plans and facilitates two types of exhibits. Solo shows present a large body of work from one artist; while potpourri shows feature the work of a group of artists, each of whom have more limited bodies of work or experience.
