Storywalk

The StoryWalk® is located in Charles Brooking Park in Georgetown, Kentucky, and is a collaboration between the Scott County Public Library and Georgetown-Scott County Parks and Recreation. Funded by the Friends of the Scott County Public Library, this interactive reading experience is designed for children and adults to enjoy together. Follow the posts along the path, read a story page by page, and enjoy a little reading and outdoor fun along the way!

The Storywalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

Storywalk®

There are few things better than spending time outside on a sunny spring day, but we’ve thought of something to make it even more fun! With the help of the Friends of the Scott County Public Library and Georgetown-Scott County Parks and Recreation, we are combining our love of reading with a love of the outdoors, to bring you the Storywalk®!

Located in Charles Brooking Park, the Storywalk® is an interactive reading experience for both children and adults that encourages literacy, creativity, and getting active outside! Along a walking trail you will find posts containing the pages of a storybook.  Follow the posts in order to experience the entire story. Each post also contains an interactive prompt to inspire either thought or motion!

Stories will change every few months, so visit the park often to share in the fun throughout the year. 1260 Scott County Park Rd, Georgetown, KY 40324.
