Summer is just around the corner, and there’s no better time to build great reading habits and have a little fun along the way. Summer reading is the perfect way to keep minds active while school is out.
At Scott County Public Library, we’re gearing up for a dino-sized Summer Reading program—and trust us, you won’t want to miss it. This year’s theme invites you to “Unearth a Good Story” as we explore dinosaurs, paleontology, geology, archaeology, and more.
📝 Start with the Reading Log
Getting involved is easy:
- Pick up a reading log at the Youth Desk (or download one online) Click here to download
- Children & teens under 18 should aim to read at least 5 books by the end of July
- Complete the log to be entered into dino-tastic prize drawings and raffles

Plus, participants can earn free coupons and discounts to local favorites like:
- KY Horse Park
- Canes
- Wildlife Adventure Zoo
