Sometimes the right environment can be just what we need to be productive. Check out our private study rooms if you need a little peace and quiet to work or study. Visit the Information Desk to see if there is a study room available or use one of six study carrels located in our Quiet Study Room located near the Circulation Desk.
Did you know our Technology Department offers one-on-one assistance? Looking to learn more about Microsoft Office Suite or PC basics? Call and schedule an appointment with the Technology Department today for a free one-on-one meeting. Speaking of our Tech Department. We have got you covered for all your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs. Drop by the Tech Department anytime for assistance.
Did you know that our meeting rooms are free for patron use and you can reserve them up to four times a month? Yep! Reservations are considered for organizations whose contact person is a Scott County Public Library cardholder in good standing, and who is 18 years or older. You can make a reservation through the library’s website or give us a call if you need assistance! Please make sure to review our policies to see if our meeting rooms meet your needs.

Ready to mix up your weekly menu? Cooking Through the Calendar is an awesome class where you will learn and sample healthy recipes for the new year. This is a popular program so make sure to register in advance to save your spot. Can’t make it to the class? Not to worry, we have a great collection of cookbooks available at any time! We’ve got hundreds of titles relating to cooking and health here at the library. Plus, don’t forget about the additional titles you can access for free on Hoopla and Libby with your library card!
One of our favorite things here at the library is the dozens of E-resources available through our website including LinkedIn Learning, OverDrive/Libby, Mango Languages, and KYVL. LinkedIn Learning offers over 16,000 video tutorials with topics ranging from software and programs like Adobe Creative Cloud to professional skills courses like data analysis and accounting principles. OverDrive/Libby allows you to digitally borrow books, audiobooks, comics, movies, and more right to your phone or computer. Are you or your little one taking a language course this year? Mango Languages is a great source to get a jump on your lessons and develop your foundation. If a research paper is on your syllabus for the semester, check out KYVL. There you’ll find multiple databases including EBSCO and Britannica, organized per age group to help you round out your research all in one place.
