Websites and databases can provide valuable information for your genealogy research, just like books, paper journals, and primary sources. There are literally thousands of websites that focus on family and local history. We have provided several links to websites that are well-known and accessed by researchers on a regular basis.
Provides access to a large comprehensive worldwide network of online genealogical resources that are searchable by name and location; some of the databases include but are not limited to Birth, Marriage, Death records; Census, Military, Wills and Deeds, Guardianships, Cemeteries, Public Family Trees, and many more.
An extensive online genealogical research website that is well organized and cross-referenced, provides literally thousands of links to websites with databases; a “genealogical research portal onto the Internet” per their website.
Provides online access to U.S. census records, books, periodicals, Revolutionary War service records, and Freedman's Bank deposit records.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints website provides online access to a worldwide collection of records, resources, and services to assist individuals in family history research. Includes tools to create family trees, charts, and forms.
Provides information on beginning your research, special events and lectures, tools for genealogists, military records, and much more. Not all resources are online.
Provides worldwide online listings of graves searchable by name. Many records contain GPS coordinates, photographs of graves, dates of birth/death, biographical information, and cemetery/plot information.

Provides online information on land acquisitions, land patents prior to 1792, military and non-military registers and land records, and links to additional online research resources.
KDLA Research Room provides access to the public records created by Kentucky’s city, county and state governments. These records include deed books, marriage records, will books, circuit and appellate court case files, census and military records, Kentucky formation charts, and records from many state agencies. Includes original paper records and over 65,000 rolls of microfilm. Not all resources are online.
