    New Art Gallery Space

Local art. Fresh perspectives. Now on display at the library entrance.

As you enter the library, the newly enhanced gallery space immediately sets the tone with updated lighting and an open, airy layout. Carefully designed to highlight each piece, the upgraded lighting brings out the color, texture, and detail of the artwork, creating a more immersive viewing experience. The open space allows patrons to move freely and engage with the exhibits from multiple perspectives, making the gallery a natural and inviting part of the library’s entrance. This refreshed environment not only showcases art beautifully but also creates a warm, welcoming first impression for everyone who walks through our doors.

The Art Gallery located inside the Scott County Public Library is a unique space that provides opportunities to enhance the community’s appreciation of the arts. Curated exhibits featured in the Gallery are family-friendly, easily accessible, open to the public during regular library hours and are free of charge.

The Gallery Curator plans and facilitates two types of exhibits. Solo shows present a large body of work from one artist; while potpourri shows feature the work of a group of artists, each of whom have more limited bodies of work or experience.
